Time:12:00am - 12:00pm Sunday 07 June 2020
Location:Oakey Showgrounds, Showgrounds Road, Oakey, Queensland 4350 Australia

Motorbike Writer has teamed with the Rotary District of 9630 and Lions Zone 201Q1 to organise the South East Queensland Ride Against Drought (RAD) on Saturday, October 6, 2018.

RAD riders will be asked to call in for breakfast at the Rocklea Showgrounds from 7.30am to 11am.

Participants can head off whenever they want, at their own pace and via their own route to Oakey Showgrounds where Rotary will host a barbecue lunch, entertainment and raffles.

Riders will be able to cruise straight up the highway or take their favourite circuitous route by back roads or forestry trails.

Riders are also encouraged to stay on at Oakey overnight, or keep heading west to spend their money in the towns hit hard by the drought.

All money from breakfasts and lunch, as well as raffles for bike gear and cash donations collected on the day will go to the Rotary District 9630 Drought Disaster Relief Campaign. It has already raised more than $1 million for drought-stricken farmers.
