‘Lionel Lindsay’s wood engravings are among the crowning achievements of his career,’ curator Anne Ryan stated in 2007.
Lindsay’s wood engraving practice spanned 60 years, from the late 1890s to the late 1950s. This survey exhibition presents many of his engravings held in the Lionel Lindsay Gallery and Library Collection. These are complemented by some from Toowoomba City Collection.
The exhibition is part of this year’s 60th anniversary commemoration of the Lindsay Collection, established by W.R.F. (Bill) Bolton in 1959.
Join us for a Sunday Session of the exhibition on Sunday 29 September starting at 2.00pm.
This is a free event and all are welcome. RSVP to the Gallery by noon Friday 27 September 2019.
Exhibition on display 27 July – 20 October 2019.
