Ikebana, the disciplined, traditional art of Japanese flower arrangement, makes potent use of minimalism to emphasize shape, line and form. Ikebana arrangements reflect careful consideration and contemplation, particularly beyond the Western preoccupation with a flower’s bloom.

Toowoomba Regional Art gallery is proud to once again showcase its annual display by the Sogetsu School (Toowoomba’s Ikebana group), during the Carnival of Flowers celebrations.

Exhibition on display: Thursday 17 September - Sunday 27 September
